Theme Lead: Climate Action & Environmental Sustainability
Joseph Odum is an adept water engineer with 28 years of experience working with reputable and leading Water and Sanitation Service Providers [WSP]. His expertise in water resource management, infrastructure development, and sustainable water solutions reinforces Eco-Loop Kenya’s commitment to environmental sustainability. As Board Chair, he provides strategic leadership in advancing water conservation and Blue Economy initiatives in Kisumu Kenya, and beyond.

DR. FANUEL KAWAKA
Theme Lead: Research, Innovation & Knowledge Development
Dr. Fanuel Kawaka is a biotechnology expert and senior lecturer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology [JOOUST] with over 15 years of experience in research, innovation, and environmental sustainability. Holding a PhD in Biotechnology, he is passionate about applying science to solve environmental challenges. As a Board Member, he contributes to advancing eco-friendly technologies, waste management strategies, and Blue Economy solutions for a more sustainable future.

MS. BALATRICE KERKULA
Theme Lead: Blue Economy & Sustainable Livelihoods
Balatrice is an adept environmentalist and ocean conservation advocate with expertise in marine pollution, coastal resilience, and sustainable resource management. She holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Stella Maris University (Liberia) and an MPhil in Blue Economy from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Passionate about policy and community-driven conservation, she plays a key role in advancing Eco-Loop Kenya’s mission for a sustainable Blue Economy.

MR. JOHN SANDE
Theme Lead: Waste Management & The Circular Economy
Mr. John Sande is a senior environmental and social safeguards expert with over 20 years of experience in sustainability and compliance. His expertise in environmental governance, risk management, and community resilience strengthens Eco-Loop Kenya’s mission. As a Board Member, he provides strategic guidance on environmental conservation, waste management, and sustainable development initiatives.

DR. DOROTHY LUKHABI
Theme Lead: Gender, Equity & Social Inclusion
Dr. Dorothy Lukhabi holds a doctoral degree in Oceanography and Limnology with expertise in water quality management (freshwater, brackish and marine water), benthic ecology, ecosystem restoration, and climate resilience. With a deep passion for sustainable water resource management, she brings valuable expertise to Eco-Loop Kenya. As a Board Member, she contributes to climate resilience strategies, water conservation, and Blue Economy initiatives.

DR. ALFRED OCHIENG'
Theme Lead: Health, Food Security & Community Resilience
Dr. Alfred Ochieng’ is a senior lecturer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology [JOOUST] with over 20 years of experience in environmental research, policy, innovation, and sustainable development. His expertise in ecological conservation and resource management strengthens Eco-Loop Kenya’s mission. As a Board Member, he provides strategic insights to advance waste management, climate resilience, and economic empowerment.
